AUSLAN INTERPRETED PERFORMANCE
Saturday 13th of September at 2pm

At these performances, an experienced Auslan theatre interpreter will stand to the side of the stage and interpret the story into Auslan, signing live.

RELAXED PERFORMANCE
Sunday 21st of September at 12:30pm

What is a Relaxed Performance? At this performance, audience members will be encouraged to be completely themselves during the show – to make sounds, move around, fidget or use noise cancelling headphones.

During the performance, nuanced adjustments will be made to both the lighting and sound levels to accommodate sensory sensitivities, ensuring a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for all attendees.

Based on an assessment by Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) staff, modifications will be made to the show, foyers and the entire experience, to consider and care for those who may need specific supports. There will be extra staff on hand and dedicated quiet areas. Before the show, a pre-show welcome will take place (introducing some of the characters, sensory-significant scenes and volume of the orchestra). During the show, subtle changes will be made to the lights and sound.

Disney Theatrical Group is proud to be partnering with Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) and Autism Association of Western Australia to offer a relaxed performance of Beauty and the Beast on Sunday 21st of September at 12:30pm. This unique and inclusive performance will be tailored, from start to finish, to ensure audience members who may need specific support can attend, engage and feel welcomed.
